To create, fashion, execute, or construct according to plan. To have a purpose.

It is really quite simple to gather information and post it to the internet for all to see. But does your information (or website) have “good design”? Can people find you online, and once they do, can they easily get the information they want?

What makes a good website? Design. I don’t just mean the “asthetics”. Yes, that is certainly a plus, but design also takes advantage of navigation structure, how Google finds your website, and how people find your website when they use Google or other search engines.

Not only will good design make you easy to find online, but it will give your customer exactly what they want and then some. I recently came across an article on Hubspot Blog about Inbound Marketing. Inbound marketing is a marketing strategy that focuses on getting found by prospects (Wikipedia). This article offers five steps to help you get more leads (sales, MONEY!) from your website. The first step is to create and maintain a powerful website. A powerful website consists of easy navigation, good asthetics, search engine optimization, and mobile integration. It is also easy for YOU to update.

If you’re in the market for updating a current website or creating to a new website, be sure to keep the article above in mind. Take some time to learn how you can implement “good design”.
